Closed Online Casinos
Many online casinos don't stand the test of time. Some fail shortly after launch, other old timers have simply had their day. Here we list casinos that were once featured on casino-download.com and have now unfortunately (or not) closed down.
24VIP - 7 Sultans - African Palace - Begado - Black Diamond - Box 24 - Cabaret Club - Casino Titan - Dash - EuroGrand - Go Wild - Golden Cherry - Golden Spins - Grand Reef - Indio - Jackpot Grand - Joyland - King Solomons - MoneyGaming - Nedplay - Prestige - Red Flush - Roxy Palace - Slots Jungle - Smart Live - Spartan Slots - Superior - Wild Jackpots - WinPalace
24VIP
24VIP launched in 2017 and for some time was a decent Rival-powered casino with some good staff running the show. Unfortunately, some years later a few ugly incidents happened online that demonstrated serious unprofessionalism and that kinda put us off promoting this brand or others within the same network.
The team behind 24VIP is still online today, operating other online casino brands. We're in contact with them occasionally but we don't promote them. We're unconvinced lessons have been learned.

7 Sultans
7 Sultans was a long-running Microgaming casino launched back in 1999, with a decent reputation although it did drop the software download casino, leading to an exodus of players to download-supported Microgaming casinos.
7 Sultans was shut-down almost twenty years after opening its virtual doors in September 2018 when the owning company started to promote/concentrate more on fewer brands such as Platinum Play (also lacking a download casino, unfortunately - as do all brands within this online gambling group).

African Palace
African Palace was an Africa/safari themed online casino originally opened in 2004. Later relaunched under new management, African Palace offered hundreds of games by Playtech until the casino and its partner-brands closed their doors at some point during 2018-2020. Very little information was provided by African Palace Casino and the team behind the closure did a particularly horrible job of shutting this place down.

Begado
Begado was a NuWorks casino launched in 2012, closed down in July 2015. Begado was open to all markets including the USA with games by NuWorks that included video poker, blackjack, poker, slots and more. Players could download Begado Casino or play an 'instant-play' (which wasn't really instant) casino in a browser. No huge loss.

Black Diamond
Having been in the online gaming business since 1999, Black Diamond was considered a veteran in the online casino world with more than twenty years experience giving Black Diamond the unpurchasable bonus of experience and plenty of time to put together what the casino described as 'a pure and safe gaming environment'. The reputation and popularity of Black Diamond Casino was certainly up there with the best and this casino reportedly had well in excess of a million clients worldwide at the time of shut-down.
Somewhat sadly, but with good intentions, Black Diamond (along with sister-sites Box 24 and Spartan Slots) was closed permanently at the end of December 2022. This was a rare case of a successful online casino closing its doors with everything looking solidly intact and a happy global membership. The closure was the result of the casino's software providers moving into other areas and pulling the plug.
Rather than leave its customers out in the cold, Black Diamond migrated all members to other casino in this group which contains industry-leading casinos such as Desert Nights and Sloto'Cash, both of which offer a software download casino option for premium-play (which Black Diamond had actually dropped). Definitely one of the better ways we've seen a casino consolidate its brands and fresh ones have already been launched.

Box 24
Box 24 was an IDENTICAL online casino to the above listed Black Diamond and below's Spartan Slots until their sad but scheduled departure at the very end of 2022. All three casinos closed their doors after more than twenty years serving their members with an excellent online casino experience.
Players at these casinos were moved to other brands within the highly-regarded group which include top-rated casino names such as Red Stag and Slots Capital, the latter of which offers a software download casino option for premium-play (which Box 24 had removed anyway).

Cabaret Club
Cabaret Club is now closed and no longer accepting new members. All clients lost access to Cabaret Club when the casino closed its doors for the final time on 15 April 2020.
Cabaret Club was a decent-enough Microgaming online casino within the same stable as the still-operating group containing popular casinos such as Gaming Club, Jackpot City and Ruby Fortune to name just three. Cabaret Club players are recommended to check-out those alternative casinos, offering the same games.

Dash Casino
Dash was a Microgaming casino launched in 2006, closed down in 2018. Dash was part of the widely-blacklisted/rogued 32 Red/Kindred group of shady online casinos so it's good to see this one gone. Let's all hope for the continued closure of even more Kindred brands during 2024 and beyond.

EuroGrand Casino
EuroGrand was a Playtech-powered online casino within the William Hill group which obviously means that EuroGrand comes with the same (lack of) integrity and honesty warnings as its big, bad brother. William Hill decided to discontinue operations of EuroGrand in 2021 along with some other brands. This company was infamous for changing terms retroactively in order to avoid settling its debts. Bye, garbage.

Go Wild
Go Wild was an ex-download Microgaming casino launched in 2014. Opting in 2017 to switch to a multi-software browser and mobile casino, the result was a bland run-of-the-mill product with games from several leading providers but the loss of realism and multiple benefits of the Go Wild download casino. It didn't help any that the team behind Go Wild were individuals we didn't really want to work with. Something didn't pass the 'smell test' and this became apparent when negative player reports began to hit online casino review sites.
There were occasions when Go Wild took part in morally questionable traffic redirection to other brands - a big deal for players AND sites such as ours who might know the redirected site is blacklisted. Further, Go Wild chose to retain advertisers' revenue for redirected traffic - that one particularly demonstrates the mentality and morality of the people behind the company. Best we say a firm goodbye to this network and the people who operated it. Officially, Go Wild was closed on 31 December 2020.

Golden Spins
Golden Spins was a USA-only online casino lasting just a year before closing in 2016. Not one for the history books.

Grand Reef
Launched in 2009, Grand Reef originally focused on players in Australia, Canada and New Zealand before reaching other areas. Grand Reef provided little to no information about their closure which started to loom in 2018, instead leaving many players and review sites such as ours with next to zero advice to pass onto players. 2010 saw Grand Reef's casino website decline into disrepair and has now vanished completely, although there is a non-used Twitter page still online. Grand Reef Casino has definitely closed its doors, which is no bad thing.

Indio
Indio was an India-themed online casino with games by Playtech but players in other countries were accepted. Indio launched in 2003 and underwent a major revamp in 2014 before closing down with very little announced information to players or marketers at some point between 2018-2020. Whatever happened, what followed was a proper piss-show of how to completely screw-up the wrapping-up of any business and most definitely a classic example of how to lose ALL your existing clients. This mess included an apparently false-start move from Playtech to RTG which never got further than empty promises.
Indio is now most definitely closed. Done. Ka-boom. Gone. The casino's domain name indiocasino.com has been gobbled-up by a domain resale service and at the time of writing, you can grab it for the bargain price of just under $5k. We'll pass.

Roxy Palace
Even before it's overdue closure, Roxy Palace was a blacklisted/non-recommended online casino with download games by Microgaming. Roxy Palace was blacklisted by Casino-Download.com and all sites within our network in 2020 following a long period of decline in quality, service, honesty and decency. It has now THANKFULLY been moved permanently to CLOSED so there should be no further victims of this dodgy outfit.
Unfortunately, Roxy Palace's players were passed onto the equally appalling 32Red - one of Roxy's 'sister casinos'. To be blunt - we consider Roxy Palace and its 'big brother' 32 Red to be rogue operations run by unethical people. The company continues to receive fines (internationally!) almost monthly for illegal or unethical activities.

Spartan Slots
Spartan Slots was the third casino to close shop at the same time during a software provider reorganisation within this reputable online casino network - the other two casinos to close their doors at the end of 2022 were the equally well-regarded Box 24 and Black Diamond.
Although sad to see all three brands close after more than twenty years keeping us enterained, no players have lost out as everyone has been invited to move to the group's other high quality casinos which include famous online casinos such as Miami Club.

Superior
Superior was the first ever Rival-powered casino and back in this casino's infancy, we worked with them to promote Superior and its sister-brands. Sadly, staff changes led to a darker side of Superior which eventually resulted in us pulling our approval.
Superior is now a closed casino, finally shutting up shop in 2023/2024. The casino's domain now redirects visitors to other casinos in the same network.

Wild Jackpots
Part of the Go Wild group, Wild Jackpots was launched in 2014 primarily as a Microgaming download casino with instant-play and mobile versions. Wild Jackpots proceeded to butcher the semi-decent casino (it had reputation issues) by removing the premium download version and converting to a non-download, browser-based (and mobile) casino.
Even before the removal of the download facility it was difficult to find something super-positive to write about Wild Jackpots. It was a competent-enough Microgaming casino but with some black marks in its history player-wise and plenty of existing reputation problems within the industry. And the team who were running the show didn't impress us when we dealt with them, including face-to-face meetings. Inevitably, Wild Jackpots was closed for business in December 2020.
